RMA Group of Companies (collectively, “RMA” or the “Company”), a leading provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection, and quality management services for critical infrastructure end markets, today announced the appointment of civil engineering industry leader Michael Della Rocca to its Board of Directors. Della Rocca brings over 35 years of experience as a senior executive in the engineering and construction industry.
Della Rocca recently retired from McKinsey & Company, where, as Partner, he provided global leadership of the firm’s major capital projects practice, serving clients and multibillion-dollar projects on six continents. Prior to his tenure at McKinsey, he served as Chief Executive, Americas at AECOM, where he provided strategic and operational leadership across the company’s 350 offices and 15,000 employees. Before AECOM, Mr. Della Rocca held executive management roles at Halcrow Holdings, STV, Raytheon and Parsons Brinckerhoff, now WSP USA. He currently serves as an independent director at Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives, Transurban Chesapeake, and Peltram Plumbing. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New York.
“We are thrilled to have Mike as a member of our Board of Directors,” said Ed Lyon, President and CEO of RMA. “He brings decades of extensive experience and leadership with best-in-class companies to help accelerate our growth strategy. Mike’s track record of optimizing go-to-market and delivery models and vast network of industry relationships make him an ideal addition to our Board.”
“RMA has a market-leading reputation serving the complex test and inspection requirements of infrastructure asset owners and engineering and construction companies,” said Della Rocca. “The repair, expansion, and modernization of infrastructure has become a top national priority. I’m honored to join RMA’s Board, and I look forward to advising the Company as it embarks on the next phase of its journey.”
“Throughout his career, Mike has led and supported many companies serving the infrastructure, engineering and construction sectors, helping them accelerate growth and leverage technology to improve business processes,” said Joe Benavides, Chairman of the Board and Partner at OceanSound Partners. “As RMA pursues both organic and acquisition-led growth initiatives, Mike’s perspective and expertise will be tremendously valuable.”
